Our journey began in the year 1966, when the first edition of what was then a Newspaper format of Hosiery Report, and that was published from Old Delhi Lutyens Zone. This pioneer media was the brain child of a visionary and a hosiery expert Mr Shanti Saroup Mehan Ji who was our Founding Editor. This media Guru recognized the potential and importance of India’s Hosiery and Textile Sector and believed that this crucial industry is under-represented. To overcome this anomaly, Shri Shanti Saroup Mehan Ji, along with the steadfast support of his eldest son Mr Kuldip Kumar Mehan Ji established India’s first News Journal dedicated to the Hosiery, Knitting and Textile Industry.
Hosiery Report imparted the necessary podium of voice to the industry though it was then still looming in the pre-British era. Nevertheless, Independence of India heralded a new dawn for this sector and visionaries like the Media Guru Mr. Shanti Saroup Mehan picked up the mantle to restore the Hosiery and Textile Industry of India to its befitting glory. Since then, Hosiery Report has established a new benchmark for a B2B publication. The newspaper format changed into the magazine style in the 1980s under the dignified Media Baron Mr. Kuldip Kumar Mehan Ji, who led this media squad receive international recognition in foreign forums including ITMA in 1991 at Hannover, Germany.
Today, the flag bearer of the legacy is Mr. Satyadip Mehan. who, while keeping up with the decorum set by his clan, has completely transformed the magazine to the highest repute of international standard. He is ably supported by his son, Mr. Aditya Mehan who is credited with making Hosiery Report’s debut online via Magzter and many other online portals.
Now in our Golden Jubilee decade, Hosiery Report commands an unapparelled popularity in the industry which is evident from a strong subscriber base and exclusive bucket of advertisers from across India’s Hosiery Garment and Apparel fraternity.
