Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Suvendu Adhikari inaugurates the landmark project amid sacred Vedic chants, distinguished dignitaries and industry leaders
Lux Cozi Group celebrated a historic milestone with the spectacular Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony on 11th of July 2026 at its proposed new state-of-the-art garment manufacturing facility at Dankuni, West Bengal.
The auspicious ceremony commenced with the recitation of sacred Vedic mantras by learned Acharyas from Varanasi, filling the atmosphere with devotion, positivity and spiritual grace.
The foundation stone was ceremonially laid by Shri Suvendu Adhikari, Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, together with Shri Ashok Todi, Chairman, Lux Cozi Group his son Shri Saket Todi, Executive Director and members of the Todi family.
The occasion was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including Shri Samik Bhattacharya, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, and State President, BJP West Bengal, Shri Tapas Roy, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Industry, Commerce & Enterprises, Government of West Bengal, Dr. Sharadwat Mukherjee, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal and Shri Arjun Singh, Hon’ble Minister, Departments of Labour & Transport, Government of West Bengal. Senior government officials, business associates, hosiery industrialists and members of the Lux Cozi Group leadership team also joined the celebrations.
With a projected investment of approximately ₹600 crore, the expansion is envisioned to establish one of Asia’s largest garment manufacturing facilities.
The new construction will cover nearly 12 lakh square feet, taking Lux Cozi Group’s total manufacturing campus at Dankuni to approximately 20 lakh square feet. Equipped with modern infrastructure and advanced manufacturing capabilities, the expanded facility is expected to establish new benchmarks in production capacity, operational efficiency and quality. The project is also expected to create approximately 9,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, providing a significant boost to local livelihoods and the industrial development of West Bengal.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Suvendu Adhikari described Lux Cozi Group’ ₹600-crore Dankuni facility as a landmark investment in West Bengal’s industrial growth. He announced a single-window clearance system for investments of ₹100 crore and above, assuring faster approvals and easier access to land. He said the Government’s focus on industry, infrastructure and skill development would attract investment and create large-scale employment across the State.
Industry Minister Shri Tapas Roy and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Samik Bhattacharya welcomed the project as an important step towards restoring West Bengal’s position as a leading investment destination.
On this momentous occasion, Shri Ashok Todi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, distinguished dignitaries, industry colleagues, friends and well-wishers for their gracious presence, affection and blessings. He described the project as a defining milestone in Lux Cozi Group’s journey and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to employment generation, industrial progress and sustained investment in West Bengal.
